Almira Labs has been awarded the Iberoeka Certificate with its project “Development of applications for the convergent network” in an international cooperation with Spanish and Argentinian organizations. With this award, Almira Labs becomes one of the 10 Spanish companies that have been chosen in this initiative inside the Latin American Programm on Science and Technology for Development (CYTED) with the collaboration of 19 countries of Latin America, Portugal and Spain.

Iberoeka seal means for Almira Labs a new award to its efforts on R&D and to its SERSSE project for the development of convergent products and services for NGN. Almira Labs continuos focus on innovation has made it deserving of this international recognition.

With Iberoeka and together with the CDTI (Industrial & Technological Development Centre) we will have preferential access to new funding sources with priviledged conditions that will enable us to move forward with the development of our R&D projects.

Almira Labs takes part in the 1st International Congress on Universal Design which will be held in Malaga from 30th September – 2nd October. Public and private organisations are here invited to show innovative solutions as the result from their commitment to accessibility.

In this event, we will be sharing space with Vodafone and will show a pioneer service in Spain which broadcasts news in sign language. MoviLSE is based on our MediaCast service, in which users receive a video with daily news broadcasted in sign language in their mobile handset.

In order to provision this service, we are collaborating with Catarsis Producciones, our partner who provides videos with daily news. It is a partnership whose first result is MoviLSE and we are sure we will keep on working together to offer new services that allow handicapped people to gain access to the possibilities of the Telecom industry.

Almira Labs has been selected to take part in this year´s MadridTech to San Francisco from 19th to 23rd October. This meeting is organized by PromoMadrid and CEIM (Confederation of Madrid Companies) and aims to support Madrid´s small and medium-sized technological companies in their international expansion plans.

During our stay in San Francisco, we will follow a schedule of business meetings with local companies with different profiles: partners, potential clients and venture capitals. These meetings are the best opportunity to set strategic alliances that allow our business in USA to grow. Our goal is also to detect new business opportunities that permit best business performance and augment our position in the market.

MadridTech means for Almira the perfect chance to make our company and our business plan known in one of the most interesting and competitive telecommunications world markets. Our aim is to strengthen our presence in USA market, to extend our partners network and our client base.

Almira Labs introduces its Video /Voice Cast suites in this year SIMO Network edition on International ITC Services and Solutions that will be held in Madrid on 22nd-24th September.

Video / Voice Cast is the result of Almira Labs´ intensive effort on R+D on next generation technologies. These innovative services allow us to communicate with our networks of family, friends, etc in a richer and more effective way by sending voice and video messages. Video / Voice Cast go beyond SMS sending, as users can fastly and easily send messages to different groups.

This SIMO Network edition means the best landscape for us to show our capacity for innovation and development of value added services.
